Lindsey Jagoe Highlighted in the Home Builders Association of Kentucky Member Profile

Lindsey Jagoe, Jagoe Homes Louisville Regional Sales Manager

Lindsey Jagoe is our Regional Sales Manager in Louisville, Kentucky.  As the Home Builders Association of Kentucky (HBAK) puts it, Lindsey, “does not fit the mold of a sales manager for a home building company that is firmly planted in multiple markets and has received national recognition for its energy-efficient building practices.”

Well, no offense to HBAK, but we think that Lindsey broke the mold for a sales manager. Lindsey brings a fresh look on management, while still technically learning how to be a leader. When she took on this position within Jagoe Homes, she knew that she was going to have to forge her own path. She, along with her soon-to-be husband, Brent Vorst, who is in charge of Jagoe Homes’ Land Acquisitions, took the plunge and moved to Louisville in the Summer of 2016.

Currently, we have a Model Home in Glenmary Commons, a garden home community located off of Bardstown Road that offers maintenance-free living at its finest. Soon we will also add another community, Brook Stone Estates to the Louisville market. Of course, Jagoe Homes also offers the option to build your new home where you want.

This year will be Jagoe Homes’ first year in Homerama,  in Catalpa Farms, where we will be featuring one our our new Luxury Home plans.  This annual tour takes you through dream homes in one of the city’s newest developments, carefully planned to provide the feel of living with nature while enjoying the latest in home design and technology.

The HBAK articles goes on to explain that Lindsey, “is among the fourth generation of her family to work for the company. She grew up immersed in home building, hanging out on job sites, and sketching out floor plans. She’s also lived in several Jagoe-built homes.” Lindsey has her bachelor’s degree from Transylvania University in Lexington, and went on to get her masters degree in Urban Planning from UCLA.

Lindsey and Brent will admit to you that they enjoyed their time in California. However, they  unanimously agree that it was not their favorite place to live. They found their way back home to  Kentucky. “In Los Angeles, she saw the impact a lot of affordable housing can have firsthand. She’s since watched the problem spread across the country. ‘That is something that drove me back to Jagoe [Homes],’ she said. ‘We build in a lot of different price points, and many of our customers are first-time home buyers. I think it’s important to provide that first home for people to start investing… I definitely had a lot of idealistic dreams about urban planning, and I have been trying to figure out how to mesh those with the real-world realities of sales and marketing.'”

Let me just tell you, from a true insiders perspective of Lindsey, she’s a truly remarkable person. She’s kind, and hopeful and her laugh is simply contagious – and this is just to coworkers and family! Imagine how she is to a complete stranger! The term “over and beyond” envelopes her drive for success and happiness, not necessarily for herself, but for those complete strangers that show up at her model home, eager to purchase a new Jagoe home for themselves.

That’s probably why Lindsey and her team are seeing such success in Glenmary Commons. Everyone they encounter, whether they purchase a home or not, at the very least leaves with a smile. Hopefully, you’re the next one to have the pleasure of meeting Lindsey Jagoe.

Jagoe Homes, Jennifer Lucas Receives 2018 Silver Award Honors for Online Sales Counselor of the Year

The National Association of Home Builder’s (NAHB) National Sales and Marketing Council (NSMC) has announced their Silver Award Winners for The Nationals new home sales and marketing awards. The council is made up of home builders, developers, associates, and consultants from all over the country.

As the Online Sales Counselor at Jagoe Homes, Jennifer responds, qualifies and manages all online lead requests.  Jennifer joined Jagoe Homes in 2008 as Jagoe New Home Sales Consultant.  In 2011, she made the move to Jagoe Homes Corporate office, and implemented the new role of Online Sales Counselor. While in her position, Jennifer incorporated a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.  Also, by reaching out to prospects online, Jennifer developed a VIP program informing registered prospects about new communities, new product introductions, special incentive offerings, and new model home Grand Opening events. Jennifer is a motivated team player with a winning attitude, and is truly a great asset to Jagoe Homes.

The Nationals salutes and honors the best in the building industry for their determination, integrity, creativity and endurance.

Silver Award Winners are the top vote recipients in each category and are the finalists for the Gold Award. Gold Awards in each category will be presented as part of the International Builders’ Show, the awards ceremony on January 10th at Hyatt Regency Orlando and is expected to draw more than 1,000 attendees.

“The Nationals are the most prestigious awards of their kind, setting the benchmark for innovations in new home design, marketing and sales,” said Meredith Oliver, chairperson of the Nationals. “NAHB’s commitment to recognizing originality, imagination and success has been exemplified by its award winners since the competition’s inception.”

Started in 1982 as the Institute of Residential Marketing, The Nationals award program continues to recognize superior new home sales and marketing achievements.  With 57 categories across various disciplines of the new home industry, the awards honor excellence in product and community design, advertising, marketing and sales achievements by individuals and sales teams.  During a three-day judging process, a panel of 7 industry professionals from across the country determined the Silver and Gold award winners from a field of over 1,300 entries.

Louise Murdock Honored with the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce 40Under40, News4U Evansville Magazine 20 Under 40

Jagoe Homes’ own Social Media/PR Coordinator, Louise Murdock, was appointed with top honors in the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce’s 40Under40 (Copyright Tanner Publishing) and News 4 U, 20Under40 in 2017. Forty individuals were nominated for 40U40 based on their leadership and potential to influence our community. Each nominee was recognized as hardworking, daring, innovative, and going above and beyond to affect change in the workplace and in the community.

They are executives and directors of foundations and non-profits. Principals and professors. Some are second and third generation business owners, while others are entrepreneurs and pioneers. All are shaping the future of Owensboro in their unique way.

After nominations were received, each nominee was sent a packet. Those applications were carefully reviewed by an anonymous panel of judges on a selection committee that was independent of the greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce staff and board members. Final selections were made by that independent committee based on the nominee’s experience, contributions, and essay answers.

louise“I’m truly humbled to be associated with such an incredible group of people,” Murdock states. “I’m excited to lead Owensboro into the future by putting our minds together and working towards the growth of Owensboro.”

Atlanta native, Murdock is very much at home in Owensboro and Jagoe Homes. The University of Alabama graduate oversees all social media accounts and contributes to marketing endeavors. When not giving her all to promote the Jagoe brand, Murdock especially enjoys giving back to her community. She loves volunteering on behalf of Girls Inc., an Owensboro non-for-profit.

“It’s about empowering young girls and women to seek their highest aspirations. I’ve spoken to girls about the dangers of social media, and how to deal with issues on the internet. It’s important to be aware of what you are putting on the internet, and knowing that nothing ever truly goes away. They need to know when something is wrong, and to seek out a responsible adult to address any issue that they have.”

Murdock was also nominated for News4U Magazine’s 20 Under 40 in July. News4U is a free publication available at 450+ locations in Evansville, Owensboro, Henderson and Newburgh and feature a monthly calendar of area entertainment and events and a comprehensive full service restaurant guide, as well as articles and reviews featuring local and visiting talent in music, art, theater, comedy, & sports. 20 Under 40 was a combined list of the most influential people in music, sports, food & drink, fashion, and being social in the Tri-State.
