Quality of Life in Louisville
Louisville is Kentucky’s largest city, and it offers all the attractions, resources, and advantages you would expect from a major metropolitan area. On a 2010 Quality of Life survey, Louisville, Kentucky scored significantly higher than the national average on amusement, culture, education, medical, religion, restaurants and weather.
As a major driver of Kentucky’s economy, this city houses a number of national and international corporations. Major employers include UPS Supply Chain Solutions, Ford Motor Company with two assembly plants, GE Appliance & Lighting, and Humana, Inc.
In Downtown, the central business district features the “Louie Link,” a glassed-in skywalk that connects a convention center, three hotels, a prime entertainment and shopping complex and a large parking facility. Museum Row in the West Main District of downtown offers five high-level attractions:
