The Construction Process

Building your new home is an exciting and sometimes stressful experience. Jagoe Homes wants to make this process pleasant, efficient, and stress-free for you. We want you to know how our process begins and ends and all the steps leading up to settling into your new Jagoe Home.
Stage 1: Excavation and Foundation
• Excavate site for footers
• Lay foundation block
• Install under-slab plumbing & fill
• Pour insulated slab

Stage 2: Framing, Roofing and Rough Mechanics
• Build walls & roof structure
• Install windows & doors
• Shingle roof
• Begin plumbing, electrical, HVAC install

Stage 3: Insulation
• Insulate walls
• Inspect for Energy Efficiency

Stage 4: Drywall and Exterior Finish
• Finish exterior wall surfaces
• Install & finish interior drywall
• Complete exterior concrete work

Stage 5: Wood Trim & Doors
• Paint interior walls
• Install floor tile/vinyl
• Install interior doors & trim
• Install cabinets & countertops

Stage 6: Paint, Fixtures and More
• Install plumbing & light fixtures
• Install ceramic backsplash
• Install hardwood/carpet
• Finish interior paint
• Install appliances

Stage 7: Quality Inspection
• Blower Door Test
• Test ductwork & building airtightness
• Ensure home meets/exceeds Home Energy
Rating System standards
• Perform Final Quality Inspections

Stage 8: Final Clean and Punch-Out
• Correct any issues found during Quality Inspections
• Clean up construction dust, etc.

Stage 9: Home Orientation
• Meet with Jagoe Customer Care Representative
to introduce new home
• Review 2-10 Home Buyer’s Warranty standards

Stage 10: Home Closing and Landscaping
• Your Jagoe Home is ready to move into
• Install landscaping
• Lay sod
