From tickets and transportation to camping and local eats, Jagoe Homes is your local expert and long-time sponsor of the Jagoe Homes After Party Stage. Register to WIN (2) 4-Day General Admission Passes to ROMP!
Fun Fact: 2021 was the only year that ROMP was held at a later date in September, as opposed to its usual time in the first weekend in June before the 4th of July. We celebrated the 20th Anniversary of ROMP in 2023, but it technically wasn’t the 20th active year until 2024, since it took a one-year hiatus in 2020. Check out more of ROMP Through the Years!

Let’s Be Frank… ROMP can be HOT!
Tips for staying cool in the Kentucky heat:
- Snag a Jagoe Homes cooling towel! We have a lot of cooling towels to give out this year. Visit us at the After Party Stage during ROMP, or at a Jagoe Homes-sponsored event like Friday After 5 in Owensboro, KY, and the WC Handy Fest in Henderson, KY.
- Purchase a small, battery-powered fan. Affordable options are available on Amazon. Here’s Jessica’s favorite hand-held battery-operated fan.
- Find a shady spot! There’s a wonderful tree line between the General Admission viewing area and the vendor booths.
- Remember to stay hydrated! You can bring water to the festival. Most vendors carry chilled water if you’re in a pinch.
- Wear light clothing, but nighttime can sometimes get a little chilly! Make sure you bring a light jacket if you plan on partying all night long.
- Use sunscreen! No one is safe from harsh UV rays.
- Hats! Hats will keep the sun off your face.
Jagoe Homes has a team of experts in home building and the ROMP Music Festival!
Here’s what our seasoned ROMP attendees are saying they are most excited for this year.
Fun Fact: Originally launched as the “River of Music Party,” ROMP was created by the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum to celebrate bluegrass music and its cultural roots.

I grew up listening to The Judds in my mamaw’s kitchen, so I’m most excited to see Wynonna at ROMP this year! – Amelia Laster, AKBD | Director of Design & Merchandising

I’m always so excited for ROMP every year — you just can’t beat the vibes and the good time! I think everyone this year is looking forward to Wynonna Judd — a true icon! …but you can’t miss Mountain Grass Unit and Town Mountain! – Jessica Dant | Online Sales Manager

I’m excited to spend time with my family, the Jagoe Team, and the community while listening to great music! – Lindsey Jagoe | Vice President of Sales

Molly Tuttle! Our family is thrilled that she is returning to ROMP this year. Her performance last year was on fire! – Megan Bosse | Trade Home Manager
What kind of ticket should I get?
Man… my sister asks me this every year! I always tell her, “The early bird gets the worm!” Which is still true when you’re thinking about getting ROMP tickets. The Bluegrass Museum will typically release the ROMP Lineup in late Fall/early Winter, which is when their early bird ticketing begins. Watch for ticket rate hikes! They will let you know when they are going to raise prices. So, the lesson is, if you know that you’re going, just get the dang tickets!
The time for early bird tickets is over this year… but there is still time to join in on the fun! Plan better next year.
ROMP tickets are available in VIP and General Admission passes. All passes gain you access to the Jagoe Homes After Party Stage! VIP and General Admission passes are sold in 4-day or single-day passes. Camping passes are sold separately, or you can purchase a TENT camping pass with your General Admission pass. Kids 12 and Under are FREE.
*All prices are shown according to ROMP’s ONLINE Pricing and include fees. The Bluegrass Museum reserves the right to change or alter pricing at any time.

You ain’t really here if you’re not all there – Join the CAMPING fun!
RV and tent passes are limited, so score yours before they run out! This is where it can get a little confusing… but hopefully this helps!
If you purchase a 4-Day General Admission Pass with TENT CAMPING, you do not need to purchase an additional tent camping pass. If you purchase a Single-day General Admission pass, you WILL need to purchase a Tent Camping pass if you plan on tent camping. Every VIP pass includes camping, whether in a tent or an RV.
If you purchase an RV Pass, regardless of whether it is for a 24-Hour Generator or a Midnight – 7 AM Quiet Time for Generator pass, ONE pass covers all of the people staying in the RV. This must be purchased if you plan to sleep in any type of vehicle or trailer that is on wheels. Electricity and water hookups are NOT included.
RV passes are NOT passes to the festival. In addition to this, you must present a valid ROMP festival ticket to gain entry.
The Difference Between the 24-Hour Generator and the Quiet-Time Generator Pass

24-Hour Generator Pass: You may run a generator for 24 hours, which means it will get loud, and fumes may be present. This area is located further from the festival area, but is still a short walk. This RV camping area is located near the lake at Yellow Creek Park.
Midnight – 7 AM Quiet Time Generator Pass: You may run a generator, but there is a quiet time from midnight to 7 am each night, which will be enforced. This RV camping area is located near the festival field.
*NEW* Glamping Package: Looking to experience ROMP in style? Homestead camp “glamping” tents are now available! Each package is suitable for up to 2 people. Each person must also purchase a festival ticket. Festival tickets are not included in the cost of the package. Glamping package includes: 1 spacious tent, 1 queen-sized bed with fresh linens, 2 rugs, 2 chairs, lighting, seasonal decorations, dresser and end table, Bluetooth speaker, portable shower station, portable fan, 5′ folding table, and a 52-quart cooler. Smoking a pets are not permitted inside the tents.
What’s all the fuss? What’s included in VIP?

VIP is the ultimate ROMP experience! Your VIP Pass includes:
- VIP Parking – with shuttle service to and from the parking to the VIP lounge.
- Catered meals, snacks, and unlimited bottled water (dinner Thursday; Lunch and Dinner Friday and Saturday). From a VIP Queen… this is one of my favorite parts of ROMP. The meals are locally sourced, such as BBQ from Moonlite. Y’all, the ROMP folks take care of you in here!
- VIP stage viewing area where you can bring your own chair. From a VIP Queen… if you have a 4-Day pass, you can bring your chairs on Wednesday AFTER they have the VIP area set up and place them where you would like. I normally leave my chairs there all weekend and gather them after the headliners on Saturday night. You must pick them up on Saturday night, or it may be bye-bye chairs. People with single-day passes usually still find great seating around us! Saturday can get a bit more crowded, as expected, but there is always plenty of room.
- VIP Lounge with tables and chairs – From a VIP Queen… This is for people to chill and eat a meal. Don’t be one of those people who bring over the seats from the lounge area to the stage viewing area (except if you forgot a chair for your grandmother and her back hurts). Lounge chairs stay in the lounge!
- Air Conditioned Restrooms – From a VIP Queen… This makes VIP SO worth it! Just those few short minutes in the A/C on a scorching June day will save your life.
You won’t want to miss this party – Cross the Creek to the Jagoe Homes After Party Stage in Pioneer Village!

During the festival, bluegrass jam bands and Americana dance bands will be lighting up the night with a hybrid of bluegrass and dance music from the front porch of the iconic cabin in Pioneer Village. If you are willing and able to withstand hours of dancing and smiling, then you need to be at the All-Night After-Parties!
Join us at Pioneer Village in Yellow Creek Park, which is only a short walking distance from the main stage, just across the iron bridge. This is also the location for artists performing on Wednesday.
Your general admission tickets include access to the After Parties!
Shhhh, we have a special gift for our After Party Attendees!

Family Fun at ROMP – All of the things you can do with the wee ones!
ROMP = Family-fun all around – but there are definitely some activities you need to enjoy with your kiddos!
Food & Craft Vendors
There is something for everyone to enjoy in the food vendor section – from the pickiest eaters to the foodie explorer. Some of my favorites include the wood-fired pizzas and Gene’s Health Food Truck! My son will usually get a pepperoni pizza from the wood-fired pizza booth.
Take the kids over to explore the craft vendors! It will be a great memory to be able to say, “We got this at ROMP when we saw Wynonna Judd!” Last year, we found a booth that let you make your own hat! You picked out whatever you liked – a salt spoon, a ribbon, a playing card, or a feather, to name a few – and the owner helped you put it together. It was so cool!
The Kids Zone – Open 8 AM – 1 PM, Thursday-Saturday

Kentucky Bluegrass Allstars

The Kentucky Bluegrass Allstars are a crowd favorite and include talented individuals of all ages! Give your family some musical inspiration from a local bluegrass band. My nephews play with the Bluegrass Allstars, and it’s such a treat to see them every year! They usually kick the Saturday festivities off around 11 AM.
The Allstars are made up of students who complete spring group lessons through the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum in Owensboro. Classes are open to anyone age 9 or older — including adults — interested in learning fiddle, guitar, mandolin, banjo, or participating in a bluegrass band.
No Driving? No Problem! Here’s how you can get to ROMP:
Uber/Lyft: Rideshare services are available in Owensboro. The rideshare pickup location is near the main entrance in the parking lot. I usually have better luck with Lyft than with Uber.
FREE Shuttle: If you are staying at any of the downtown hotels, you can enjoy a free shuttle to ROMP! You can view a full list of Owensboro Hotels and book your rooms. The shuttle will also bring you to the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum to tour exhibits during ROMP!

For the Love – Just DOWNLOAD THE APP Already!
The ROMP Fest App is a great way (besides this awesome guide ;)) to get all of your questions answered while you’re at the festival.

If you take anything away from this magical experience, look around you while you tour the grounds of the park. The music is in every corner – up the hill to Pioneer Village, around the corner tucked in the woods, blaring from the amps on the main stage. To be at any festival is an experience of a lifetime. ROMP just brings something special to late June in Owensboro, Kentucky. There are quiet times at the festival – the mornings when you wake up to have a coffee at camp, or the lull between sets – and then there are the exciting times when you hear your favorite song bolt through the crowd. That’s where my husband and I found our wedding song, during ROMP 2022. That is a memory that I will cherish for the rest of my life. So please come and make memories of your own, immersed in the comfort of bluegrass music.

Exceptional Energy Efficiency in Every Jagoe Home
An energy-efficient Jagoe Home begins with intelligent design, quality construction, and generations of working to exceed our own standards of excellence. Jagoe Homes is committed to all the practices it takes to build truly energy-efficient homes, and we work closely with RESNET (Residential Energy Services Network) to achieve great ratings from that organization.

HERS® (Home Energy Rating System) INDEX
*Based on the US Department of Energy definition of HERS index of 130. This information presented for educational purposes only. Savings are average estimates based on Jagoe Homes’ top five selling plans. Savings will vary based on house type, orientation, house size, utility rates, climate and operations of the home.
The lower a home scores on RESNET’S HERS (Home Energy Rating) Index, the more energy efficient it is. A standard new home that’s built to meet the 2006 IECC will score a HERS Index of 100. New Jagoe homes score an average of 62, making them at least 38% more efficient than a standard new home and at least 68% more efficient than a used home.
Brand-new Jagoe homes are built with nothing less than advanced materials and modern innovations engineered to reduce energy use and lower utility costs all year long. Owning a home designed with energy-saving features ensures long-lasting efficiency, exceptional comfort, and an eco-friendly carbon footprint throughout every season.
